Pumpkin Dash and Smash Lake Eufaula Campground

A Pumpkin Race and Pumpkin Chuck is being hosted by Lake Eufaula Campground in celebration of gravity. Tickets are five dollars to participate in the event and the number of tickets being issued are limited. There is no charge for spectators.Contestants will supply their own pumpkin which can be purchased at any location . Pumpkins will be for sale the day of the event provided by the First Presbyterian Church Pumpkin Patch. Proceeds from pumpkin sales will go to support the Presbyterian Children's Home .  Pumpkins can be either manually rolled down the track or put in a provided race car. Chuckers can throw their pumpkin or use the provided pumpkin sling shot. A pumpkin decorating contest will also be held for painted or carved pumpkins with both an adult and children's division.Campers the weekend of the 25th will receive 2 free dash and smash tickets when making reservations for their campsite. Campers are encouraged to decorate their sites.  People South Bank is helping sponsor the event which will include pre event participation by Lakeside 8th grade science classes and the Eufaula High school robotics team . The students will learn about gravity while helping design key aspects of the event. Backyard Orchard and Paradise Pumpkin Patch will also help promote the event.
