HCC Annual Dinner

Please make plans to attend the HCC's upcoming annual supper meeting in Eufaula.
Matt McDaniel, author of the HCC's most recent book, Emigration to Liberia from the Chattahoochee Valley of Georgia and Alabama, will be our speaker. Matt's intriguing book relates the story of an important but little-studied event in local history. Between 1853 and 1903, hundreds of African Americans from this area embarked on a quest for a new life on another continent. This is the first time their saga has been chronicled.
